University of Wales, Bangor

The science library at Bangor occupied a linear 1930s school building. The old school building was extensively refurbished to contain the book stacks, and new construction linked it to the 1970s computer building to form a united Information Services centre. The central drum provides natural light and a strong focus for the complex.
