Pictured is the The Royal Opera House Bob and Tamar Manoukian Production Workshop in Thurrock which has large spaces for scene-painting as well as carpentry and metal workshops. The scheme won the RIBA East Spirit of Ingenuity Award for its 'dedication to light and to the craft of making'.

"The workshop has exceeded all our expectations as a work place and is the envy of other Opera Houses around the world. The working conditions are second to none, with large, warm and bright open spaces suitable for the work we do. It has totally transformed the way we build and paint our scenery."
David Pritchard, Deputy Technical Director, Royal Opera House

We are delighted to be working with the Royal Opera House again, designing the new timber-clad Costume Store next door. The building will provide dedicated storage for costumes from opera and ballet productions. It will also house the historic collection and costume-making workshop.
