The UCL Student Centre has won both its shortlisted categories, Project of the Year and Student Experience, at the Education Estates Awards. James Eades, NHA Partner, was also present at the day-time conference to give a talk on the project.

"Welcoming and accessible to all, reflecting the diversity of its users and with architecture that is easy to read and use, the Student Centre provides a rich variety of settings to suit and adapt to the different way students learn and study. It has been extremely well received and intensively used by students since opening in February 2019."

James Eades, Partner, Nicholas Hare Architects

" (The Student Centre) brings together for the first time at UCL a range of student support services... 1000 flexibly-arranged study spaces meeting the needs of students well into the future... It will stand as one of UCL’s greatest buildings... the spirit of teamwork behind its design and construction will inspire the students for generations to come.”

Professor Anthony Smith, UCL Vice-Provost

The Education Estates Conference and Awards are the Education Industry's annual gathering and are supported by the Department for Education.
