Ormiston Park Academy

Ormiston Park Academy, a project won through design competition working with Balfour Beatty, accommodates 1,100 students and provides facilities for extended community use. It includes a specialist building for students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Situated within green belt, the site forms part of an historic listed Capability Brown park. The academy, sponsored by the Ormiston Academies Trust, is designed to respond to this special landscape. A glazed double-height dining and social space forms the heart of the school, fronting on to an open courtyard partly surrounded by three storey teaching colleges with commanding views over the parkland.
