Careers Conference

07 February 2017
Talks & Events

We were invited to have a stand at the Dormers Wells High School's Careers Conference on 7 February 2017 and two of our architects Carmela and Henry volunteered to offer their advice on architecture and design. They organised talks and workshops which were open to the over 600 students, designed get them thinking about their own skills, attributes and aspirations and the opportunities open to them.

Students praised the event and welcomed the insights it had provided as well as their appreciation of careers they had previously only a superficial impression of. Hopefully Carmela and Henry will have persuaded some of them to pursue a career in design.

Dormers Wells High School in Southall was completed in 2012.

We are delighted by the overwhelmingly positive reaction from both exhibitors and attendees at Dormers Wells' inaugural Careers Conference. Students' imaginations have been stretched and, I suspect, a number of local employers have persuaded some young talent to be part of their futures. I want to thank all of those who have made the time to be part of this inspiring day.
