We are delighted to announce that Marlborough Primary School is a Finalist at the 2017 LABC London Building Excellence Awards. These awards celebrate achievements in the construction industry and reward excellent buildings, outstanding companies, and partnerships and individuals that go that extra mile.
Nicholas Hare Architects designed Marlborough Primary School with Kier Construction as a sample scheme under the Brent Batch of the Priority School Building Framework. Situated on a confined suburban site, the scheme strives to maximise the external learning and play space and to deliver a quality internal environment to support the school's educational objectives and use by the local community.
The LABC Award judges do not just consider the building's design, but any technical innovations, sustainability and building performance. They also look at the team's ability to solve technical problems with creative solutions, any use of innovative products, as well as outstanding craftsmanship.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Guildhall, London on 16 June.
