Open City's Architecture in Schools' programme

09 May 2017
Talks & Events

This year Nicholas Hare Architects were invited to once again participate in Open City's Architecture in Schools' programme.

Open-Cityʼs education programmes inspire young people to explore our city through its buildings, developing their creative skills and supporting learning in and out of the classroom. Through a portfolio of education and skills initiatives and expertise, developed over 15 years, they enable young people of all age groups and backgrounds to understand how their city is created and used.

This is the seventh year we're taking part in this programme which focuses on Design & Technology and Art subjects plus a strand specifically for maths.

Our volunteer architects Sharon Chatterton and Henry Posner with our modelmaker Marianne Weineck met the enthusiastic year 4 pupils at Gateway Academy at the Royal Park Foundation in Hyde Park on 9 May 2017.
