James brings clarity, careful judgement and technical rigour to the leadership of complex projects. He enjoys working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, helping multidisciplinary teams navigate complex design and construction challenges from concept through to completion. He has delivered a wide range of projects, from new-build schemes to complex refurbishments and strategic masterplans, including major university developments and cultural buildings.
Alongside his project responsibilities, James leads the practice’s Integrated Management System, supporting the consistent delivery of quality, health and safety, professional competence and continual improvement that underpin the practice's work. James joined NHA in 1999 and became a Partner in 2021.
