Centre for Research into Rare Diseases in Children

Great Ormond Street Hospital, London

Our design proposals for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s new Centre for Research into Rare Diseases in Children responded to a brief calling for a landmark building with state-of-the-art technical facilities and 9,000sqm of research laboratories and offices.

Situated overlooking Coram's Fields in London, the design proposed large floor plates arranged around a central atrium, giving flexibility of internal configuration and opportunities for interaction, and an active and welcoming street frontage at ground floor.
